Wale Thinks The Standards Of Rap Are Low

Wale shared with The Breakfast Club that there aren't any challenges when it comes to rap. He feels that the concept of being a "nice" rapper is non-existent. From Wale's perspective, the people who are the coolest rappers right now create basic raps. If you're basic with a nice image, you can make it and this is a concept he currently battles.

"Technically speaking, the nicest rappers, are saying the most direct s*** with the exception of maybe Kendrick and Drake.

"What's 'nice' anymore? That's what I'm trying to say. What we consider nice right now, it's not that 'nice'. Nice is Royce 5'9 & Joell Ortiz."
