Solange Knowles is trying her best to move on since Elevator-gate. And she’s trying hard to not let the scuffle affect her.

The singer shines on the cover of the August issue of Lucky magazine, where she finally addressed, and quickly moved on from, her infamous elevator scuffle with Bey and Jay Z.

In the issue, Solange calls the incident simply "that thing." She then goes on to briefly discuss the drama, before changing subjects.

"What’s important is that my family and I are all good,” she said. “What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."

Said statement was famously released in May, after security footage leaked showing Solange attacking her brother-in-law Jay Z in the elevator of New York City’s Standard Hotel.

"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident," the statement at the time read. "But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

Many people have speculated on what sparked the fight, but it seems as though Solo doesn’t plan on giving up the juicy details. You know those Knowles’ girls!
In the cover story, she opens up about her fashion inspirations, living with her son in New Orleans, and surviving life in the limelight. “I think about all of those phases that I went through and the ridicule and whatever that I experienced. And I can’t think of one time where I ever felt like I was going to break. That’s because I had confidence instilled in me by my parents. They didn’t always like it—in fact, most of the time they didn’t—but they never asked me to change.”
The August issue of Lucky Magazine hits stands later this week.
