Kendrick Lamar is making room on his trophy shelf after Sunday's BET Awards.  As he accepted the award for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Kendrick gave a shout out to the young people in his hometown of Compton, California.

While they were competitors in the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist category, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, Drake and Kendrick came away with the award for Best Collaboration for A$AP's track "Problems."  Kendrick also picked up the award for Best New Artist, but the night wasn't just accepting awards for the rising rap star.  Kendrick also took the stage Sunday night.  He kicked off his performance with his track "m.A.A.d. city," before transitioning into "Don't Kill My Vibe" with Erykah Badu.   Lamar also teamed up with A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz to perform their award winning track "Problems."

Although he was a no show at Sunday's awards ceremony, Drake also managed to take home three awards.  Apart from his win with Kendrick, A$AP and 2 Chainz, Drake's single "Started From The Bottom" won the Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice Award.  The video for the song also won the award for Video of the Year.  Among the night's other big winners were Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miguel, Jamie Foxx and Olympian Gabrielle Douglas.
