Weiner Takes a Big Hit in First Post-Scandal Poll

Based on the first poll results released since Tuesday’s sexting scandal, it looks like Anthony Weiner’s standing in the 2013 mayoral race took a huge hit. According to a new Wall Street Journal-NBC 4 New York-Marist poll released on Thursday, Anthony Weiner dropped to just 16 percent of the votes among registered Democrats.

When compared to a poll taken several weeks ago, Weiner fell behind Christine Quinn in a 14 percent swing. Quinn came in first place in this most recent poll with 25 percent of the votes. According to the Wall Street Journal-NBC 4 New York-Marist poll Weiner is actually statistically tied in second place with Bill de Blasio and Bill Thompson who both received 14 percent of the votes.

Weiner's unfavorability rating rose to 55 percent. This rose almost 20 points from his 36 percent unfavorability rating back in June.
