It's not a pairing many would have expected, but New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Governor Jim McGreevey came together Wednesday at the Hudson County Correctional Center in Kearny, N.J. McGreevey and Christie met with a group of incarcerated women participating in a substance-abuse treatment program on Wednesday to talk about improving drug-abuse treatment in New Jersey.
This isn't the first time Republican Chris Christie has reached across the aisle to the Democratic side to get things done. Back during Hurricane Sandy, Christie and President Obama came together to help New Jersey get through the super storm that ravaged the Garden State. Now, Christie and McGreevey are working together to improve drug-abuse treatment.
McGreevey infamously resigned from office in 2004, but has since become a spiritual counselor to women in his program called Integrity House.
You can listen to McGreevy talking with WOR 710's Rita Cosby below. McGreevy discusses his program and working together with Governor Christie.
