Judge Refuses to Suspend Morning-After Pill Ruling

A federal judge in New York on Friday denied an attempt by the government to block the sale of the morning after pill to women and girls of all ages. U.S. District Judge Edward Korman ruled that women and girls of all ages could buy the Plan B pill over the counter without a prescription according to NY 1.

Despite not being allowed to block the ruling, the government can appeal. The FDA suggested that the morning after pill only be sold to girls and women 15 and over, but the judge ordered the FDA to lift the age restriction.
